UPDATED 2.7.2022

Updated Quarantine Cedarville School District
Individuals who have tested positive for COVID will continue to quarantine for a minimum of five (5) days or until the individual has been symptom and fever free for twenty-four (24) hours.
Per Policy 4.34 Individuals experiencing symptoms of any communicable disease are not to attend school until the individual is symptom and fever free for twenty-four (24) hours. Policy 4.34 includes that determination of return to school is at the discretion of school district administrators or nurses. Documentation from a health care provider may be required.

Addendum:

Quarantine for persons identified as a Probable Close Contact and who live in a household with a person who has tested positive.
PCCs living with a person who has tested positive are required to quarantine during the time that the positive person is quarantined in the household. Beginning on the sixth day of that quarantine or on the final day that the positive is symptomatic, the PCC begins their individual five day personal quarantine.
To be clear, the PCC is eligible to return to school wearing a mask on the sixth day after the last day of exposure to a positive tested individual who's symptoms have subsided.
The quarantine process begins anew every time the PCC is exposed to a person who has tested positive for the virus.
If you have questions please contact the school district prior to sending students or returning to school. Thank you for your help and patience!'

2020.2021 SCHOOL YEAR UPDATE

Covid-19 Update 4/13/2021

As a part of our continued compliance with state directives regarding the coronavirus pandemic, we have developed an End of Year Covid-19 Planning Tool to update our stakeholders on school operations based on previous directives now considered guidance. We also welcome the feedback of our community on our Ready for Learning Public Comment Form. and assist districts in eliciting community feedback via the district website.

UPDATE AS OF 03/30/2021

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and the Arkansas Department of Health announced today, March 30, 2021, the requirement to wear masks will end. Throughout the pandemic, Cedarville School District has diligently complied with the directives of the Arkansas Department of Health, and we will continue to do so.

Therefore, effective tomorrow, March 31, 2021, masks will no longer be required to be worn by students, staff, or visitors when on Cedarville School District campuses. All other directives of the Arkansas Department of Health continue to be in effect until such time they are lifted by the Department of Health.

Until discontinued by the Department of Health, Cedarville School District will continue to practice all other previous safety and sanitation practices, such as spraying and disinfecting all facilities, providing hand sanitizer throughout the schools, encouraging hand washing, emphasizing social distancing, enhancing the amount of fresh air, and all other Health Department directives.

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to recommend that everyone wear a mask whenever social distancing cannot be assured. We support this recommendation. Although masks will no longer be required, we encourage everyone to consider wearing a mask whenever in close contact with other people.

Although no longer required, students, staff, and visitors are welcome to continue to wear masks at school and school events.

As always, if you have questions or concerns please contact Cedarville Public Schools.

Cedarville Board of Education Minutes 03/30/2021

CEDARVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS COVID -19 INFORMATION

In compliance with guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health, the Center for Disease Control & Prevention, and Arkansas Executive Order 20-43, the Cedarville Board of Education approved Emergency Policy 1.23 requiring all K-12 students and staff members to wear face coverings for the 2020.2021 school year. Face coverings will be required when social distancing cannot be achieved as determined by classroom teachers, assigned supervisors, or district administrators. Exceptions to compliance to face covering requirements will be allowed for individuals for whom compliance will adversely affect medical conditions, adversely impact disabilities, or interfere with specific health or safety factors. Exemptions will be approved on an individual basis and will require appropriate medical documentation.

Students will be afforded opportunities throughout the school day to remove face coverings. Face coverings will be allowed to be removed during meals, snacks, and while drinking. In addition, teachers and administrators will schedule times each day for students to visit designated locations which provide appropriate social distancing allowing for face covering breaks.

Cedarville will provide each student with two (2) washable cloth face masks at the beginning of the school year. Parents are encouraged to provide individual students with his/her own face covering. Cedarville will maintain a number of masks to provide to students in case of an emergency.

Visitors to all Cedarville School District facilities will be required to wear a face covering at all times while on campus.

Cedarville’s highest priority is the health and well-being of our students, employees, and visitors. Thank you for your cooperation.

Emergency Policy 1.23 is available on the Cedarville School District website, cedarvilleschools.org.
